Back then, compatible PCIe cards were around $20, but today prices have risen to near $40. It's wise to check for native compatibility before purchasing to avoid issues. I've found success with Atheros-based cards.

The distribution they were using was quite outdated (Kernel 16.04 vs. 20.04), so changing PCIe slots won't help much. It seems it will either function immediately or require significant effort to get it working. You should be all set.
