Consider your needs and the seller's reputation before purchasing a CPU from eBay.
Hey guys, so I wanted I buy a decent AMD CPU for my gaming PC and I came across 3 options (5 3600, 5 2600x, 52600), but I am on a budget and if I want to buy something new, I can only afford the 2600(x), however there is this 5 3600 CPU n eBay that sold for significantly cheaper and it's also listed as new from this very good rated seller, and I also have return/ ebay money back options. So the question here is: 1. Should I buy it? 2. How do check in the first month that that CPU is going to last long and not going to be dead after several months 3. What are you guys experience on buying CPU from eBay? Thank you.
It looks like a good idea, I've purchased many items on eBay. Of course, most were cheap or quite old, which seems to be fine.
CPUs don’t fail on their own. They either function or they don’t. If it runs smoothly for a week, you can likely count on it lasting a decade. I’d probably go ahead and purchase one. I’ve bought CPUs from eBay before—i3-9100F brand new, delivered right to my door at the advertised price. I’ve come to realize eBay is a fairly dependable platform for sourcing components. It’s just as trustworthy as Amazon, since both are online marketplaces now. Anyone can list items, so reliability depends on the seller.
They are referred to as iMicros. I looked up my eBay history.
