I evaluate my setup with Apex Legends on a 1660ti PC. Turning off anti-aliasing gives smooth 120+ FPS at high settings, while enabling it drops the frame rate to 70-80. Deciding whether the extra smoothness justifies the slower performance depends on your priorities.

Are there any changes when you enable or disable it during gameplay, rather than just inspecting the texture closely? I notice very little difference, which is why I turn it off.

Only you decide what balance of detail and popularity suits you best. In short, the more detailed the image, the less noticeable the anti-aliasing becomes visually.

It's not always necessary to share a screenshot since the game appears unusual without it.

Everyone has different preferences when it comes to resolution and performance. Some prefer a lower 720p for maximum frames, while others demand 4K with all the extra features. If you're okay with minor lag and want more frames, go for it.

The version with TSAA turned on shows similar results to a medium range, though distant objects appear slightly altered.

Turn off AA unless it boosts FPS, because it only causes blur; it's simpler to hit targets when pixels are clear.

In quick games, AA does more harm than help. It mainly relies on blurring the image, which is really bad for taking sharp photos.

Feel free to experiment and choose what you like. There are no rules about whether it should be on or off.
