You're considering upgrading your PC's RAM by adding a 16GB module while keeping an existing 8GB stick. It's important to check if your motherboard supports the needed slots and whether the new kit fits your system. Since both your sticks are CL15-15-15-36, 1.2V, and 2133MHz, you should verify slot compatibility before deciding. If possible, using three DIMM slots might be safer to ensure proper installation.

Having more than two sticks in dual channel increases pressure on the CPU memory controller. This led to some instability during testing with four 8GB sticks versus two 8GB sticks. Try using three sticks and observe if it functions properly—extra RAM usually helps.
