You're planning a gaming and creative PC with a budget of £200. You're considering two RAM options: 3600MHz C18 or 3200MHz/3466MHz C16. The decision hinges on balancing speed and cost, especially regarding CAS latency impact. Stick with the lower price point unless performance gains justify the extra expense.

It seems like a solid option, with 3600 CL18 likely matching or outperforming 3200 CL16 on average.

Actually, you don't require such high RAM speed. It made a noticeable impact on performance with the first generation Ryzen and less so with the second. With the third generation, the gap between 2666 and 4000 will be minimal. Check out the video at the link provided. Hope this helps and saves you some money—keep using that setup but save around 20 bucks and upgrade to a 3000 MHz chip. The better CL of the 3000 model at 15 will provide more benefit than the higher clock speed of the 3600 with a 18 MHz clock.
