Hello, I'm moving from an ASUS PRIME A320M-K that's been reliable for two years. Now I need a RAM upgrade and have a budget around 120€. I was considering the Gigabyte B550M DS3H, B450 Aorus Elite V2, and ASROCK B550M-HDV. I heard the B550 chipset offers a faster PCIe slot, but it doesn't seem like a real upgrade since I already have a GTX 1650 SUPER with an R5 3600 and 2x4GB of 2400MHz RAM. My plan is to add two 8GB modules at 3600MHz. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
The board supports 2x8GB memory at 3600MT/s and performs well without needing an upgrade if it works properly.
If you upgrade, I’d consider the Tuf B550-PLUS or Tuf B550-PRO. The PRO model includes a 3.2 header, while the PLUS version does not. Still, RAM above 3200 MB isn’t usually worth it. I currently use DDR4-3200 with a 5900X on the PLUS variant if you’re curious. Keep in mind that Ryzens are particular about RAM choices—make sure to check the board’s Qualified Vendor List before finalizing your selection. The following day (Monday) I purchased the TUF Gaming B550M-PLUS because they didn’t offer the PRO version in my area, and it also matched my price range. It’s really solid, with plenty of USB ports at the back including USB C. I’m now able to configure my fans properly using Fan Xpert2—thanks for the tip!
Great offer. I refreshed my notes on your request for 2x8 DDR4-3600 modules. Remember, 3600 typically offers better value compared to 3200—you’ll get more performance without paying a premium. Unless you notice a difference, spending on multiple 3200 units might be more economical. Patriot Viper has performed well for me, and these models fit your QVL requirements.

If PVB432G320C6K isn’t available, Patriot Viper Steel PVS432G320C6K DDR4-3200 should be similar in specs—just a different heat spreader, so timings and voltage should still apply. I think this applies to the other 3600 variants too, though you might need to adjust DOCP settings manually.
