I initially wanted the MSI B460M Mortar WiFi, but the local store didn’t have it. They estimated availability in a couple of weeks, though they had the Gigabyte B460M Aorus Pro in stock and suggested that one. I decided to look into the Gigabyte options more closely, but online info was sparse beyond the official docs. Some customer reviews on sites like Amazon mentioned issues with SSDs/HDDs and sometimes RAM not being recognized. The MSI had plenty of videos and reviews available, which helped solidify my decision after reading a lot about it. I’m torn between choosing the motherboard I spent time researching and the one with mixed online feedback. As this is my first PC build and I already have an MSI GPU, I feel more confident with MSI, even though the Gigabyte has two ARGB/RGB headers instead of one each on MSI. I’m also considering whether it’s better to wait for the MSI update or go with the Gigabyte now.

Uncertain about the usefulness... Updated: Retailers always suggest what’s available, even if subpar, to secure your payment immediately instead of later.

I also looked into it, and on paper the MSI looks superior. It might seem obvious, yet choosing one can still cause some stress.

It's fine to mix and match motherboards and graphics cards; problems arise only if one fails completely. The Gigabyte board performs adequately. Whether you need Wi-Fi or prefer a wired setup is up to you. Also, if your case doesn't have a Type-C front USB port, the 3.2 Gen. 2 header isn't necessary.

There are rates in PKR, with a slight variation of around 1,000 PKR between some options. The Gigabyte costs 124 PKR while the MSI is 131 PKR.

For the 10100, these boards go beyond what you need. Even budget options work well with the i3-10100 and i5-10400. Performance-wise, the CPU handling is solid.

I really don’t require Wi-Fi because I’ll be using a wired connection, though it’s a handy built-in feature if I need to tap into my phone’s hotspot. It’s not a major issue for me. And honestly, the header isn’t useful in my current setup.
