It seems questionable whether purchasing a Win8.1 Pro license from G2A for 25€ is a good idea, especially since you're already using an evaluation copy of Windows 7. The upgrade path to Windows 10 isn't clear, and compatibility with newer versions isn't guaranteed. Consider other options before investing.

It's a good deal at 25 euros and includes a one-year free license for Windows 10. I think it's a reasonable choice.

Yes, you have one year to upgrade and you can retain it indefinitely. Upgrading within that period is mandatory; otherwise, you'll need to purchase a new version.

25 Euros? G2A or that subreddit? I’m not sure how reliable those are. I’ve seen many stories where a second install on the same PC canceled the license, and calls from Microsoft said the keys were fake. >..

I removed some items and never ran into issues. It's not an operating system, just games...always works fine.

Some research uncovered this: Hello valued client, you've reached Microsoft Customer Service, Southeast Asia. My name is Rizky and I’ll handle your question. From what I gather, you’re looking for Microsoft Windows 8 Pro on the G2A site. If my interpretation is correct, please confirm if it’s accurate. Based on this, we must note that Microsoft advises against purchasing these programs as they aren’t official or genuine versions supported by Microsoft activation. They don’t have any agreements with G2A or its resellers, which directly contradicts the Microsoft software license terms since they’re not authorized suppliers of authentic software. We can’t confirm legitimate sales from the third-party seller without Microsoft approval, so they can’t be considered genuine. Best regards, Rizky – Customer Service Representative, Microsoft SEA. Some individuals received this as a response when they inquired about it. It could be real or just an attempt to push higher prices from other sellers.

The Windows keys are probably MSDN keys, and your access will be taken away when the seller ceases to pay for that service.
