Hey there, I've been considering organizing my drives and reinstalling the OS to fix all the issues. I've also looked into Windows 10 tech preview and noticed many recommendations comparing it to Windows 8. Some say it's stable enough for everyday use. What do you think? Should I stick with Windows 8.1 or try the tech preview? I didn't pay for my Windows 8.1 version because my dad has an MSDN subscription, so I won't be too attached to it. Can I still play my games and everything work better? Thanks for your help!
I would try it, but because it's a tech preview they can key log you and watch what you do. They might not care about you watching porn, but they likely notice your actions. I faced some compatibility problems with my favorite apps, so I just went back to 8.1.
Steam functioned well on Windows 10, I haven’t tested Origin yet but I’m confident it will. The programs that didn’t work before were HWMonitor, CoreTemp, and some monitoring tools; I believe I’ve recently updated their compatibility notes for Windows 10, eliminating any previous issues. Go ahead and give it a shot.
I've been testing it and noticed a significant boost—up to 20% more frames per second in most games. The performance feels much smoother and more responsive. It runs without any logs, making it easy to use. I tried it right after release and found it really impressive. Just remember, all features are available from the start.
