Hello, I see you're thinking about a Ryzen upgrade soon. Since the Ryzen 4000 chips will be available soon, you could grab a Ryzen 3000 for a better deal. You mentioned gaming first, but you're also interested in photo and video editing. Staying under $250 is a good target—looking for options that fit those needs.

Are you asking about the cost of just the CPU? That’s 250 dollars. Do you already have a board in mind? A 3600 should definitely cover it.

Looking for another processor that complements the 1070. This is simply a step up—I already have a motherboard and RAM.

I own an MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-PR...cification). It was on sale a year ago Tongue. Also, looking for something under $250 for the CPU.

A 3600 should suffice. You might wait and see what Zen 3 brings, I’d guess the 4600 would cost about 200 dollars.

It seems like you're planning a release in a few months and anticipating a price drop. I'm here to help with any questions you have about that.

You might also consider a 4600, which would likely be about $200. Explore what Zen 3 provides.
