Consider your needs and budget carefully. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers strong performance for gaming and multitasking, while the Ryzen 9 7950X3D provides more power for demanding tasks like video editing or heavy workloads. Choose based on what you plan to use it for most.

Use Case? For just gaming, the 7800x3d is the straightforward option. Beyond that, its performance may vary depending on your needs.

So it would strictly be used for gaming it may get used a bit for some 3d modeling but rarely also should I now just wait for 9000 series

You have the option to wait; the 11 series will arrive sooner and perform better than the 9. /s The 7800X3D is expected to be quicker than the 9 for gaming purposes, so if you know when the 9800X3D will launch, you can decide whether to wait. Because we don’t know your current setup—whether it’s just the CPU or a full upgrade—we can’t give specific advice. If you share those details, we can better assist.

Both processors perform excellently in gaming. However, the 7800X3D edges slightly ahead. I was unexpected when I compared prices at my store—its 7950X3D costs roughly 50% more but offers a full CPU upgrade. Still, if you don’t need those extra cores and your games don’t gain much from additional cache, opt for the 7800.
