I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen processor. The current setup uses an overclocked i5-9600k and an Asus Strix Z390-F. I'm exploring fluid simulation in Blender and comparing performance gains versus power usage. My goal is to sell the system and add a Ryzen 3rd gen upgrade for around $200. I've already upgraded to a H100i Platinum and have experience overclocking CPUs. What model should I choose?

Relies on the currency in your area. US money. The board might be 200-225 (in use). 259$ for a new 9600K, 175-200$ for used, 220$ for new. Fair prices would be similar to new condition.

I received roughly 550 USD including taxes and shipping. With the overclocking details and its strong performance at 70°C under full load for 30 minutes, it could definitely add value. Considering a price around 375 USD might be reasonable.

If you limited it to a particular temperature range, you won't be able to use it for a sale unless someone is specifically interested. For this item, I believe 375 is reasonable, with the buyer covering shipping costs.
