They didn't interpret the article right. The stated maximum official speed is 2933 MHz, but with overclocking and suitable modules you can exceed it.
I’m not familiar with AMD overclocking beyond it functioning differently, so I can’t confirm it’s possible. I haven’t heard much about the 3400G being a 2400 CPU, nor do they seem to have more RAM limits than Ryzen2. If I’m mistaken, I sincerely apologize.
