You're starting out with gaming and video editing—great choice! For a budget around $450, look for a mid-range CPU that balances performance and value. Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 models are solid options. Check reviews and ensure compatibility with your motherboard. Good brands like AMD or Intel often offer good deals in this price range.

Are you sure you don’t already have a motherboard, or would you like one in addition to your CPU?

Choose a 5800x board if you don’t require a motherboard; it’s available in stock. Opt for a 5600x when you do need one, and select a reliable motherboard if necessary.

Order a 5600X and an MSI B550-A Pro. The CPU costs $300, the motherboard $150.

Which specific CPU is being discussed? The 11th generation i7 and i9 processors aren't practical, while the core i5 works well with some of them.

5600X fully supports it. It works without a Z590 board for boosting performance and uses significantly less energy (65 watts compared to 125 watts).

there are updates about 11,600k not reaching even 4.9 at 1.4v, varying by GPU and settings. I suggest going with the 11,400, 5600x, or 10,700kf if you choose that model—just install the stock cooler and cut costs.
