I believe you should try one of the starter packs. Give it a spin, check out the game. With the latest update alpha 2.0 and the upcoming 2.1, now is an excellent moment to join. Once you're in, if it suits you, you can explore one of the constellations—usually under $200, though the exact price isn't clear. Right now, I’d suggest starting with Andromeda. It’s the largest flyable ship available, even though it has some quirks. It’s quite enjoyable to navigate with friends and see how many people are on board. Don’t hesitate to join the Discord server mentioned in my profile; we’re a friendly group.

I’m thinking about getting in a bit more than just the basics—maybe a little bigger than a starter, but probably not exceeding $150. It’s not finished yet, but I feel like there’s still room for some fun.
