I've been enjoying CS:GO for under a year, hit LE/LEM standards, spent two and a half years playing LoL on and off and reached platinum in the top tier, was a legendary raider in WoW. Every time I achieved some form of recognition in a game, I had to stop due to personal challenges. Summer is coming, and my question is: should I aim for world-class status in another game? Or is it too late for me now? 20 Now. I can handle the time commitment because I'm about to graduate. I understand the mental and practice demands, but would it really be worthwhile? Where are former pros today? Am I just being overly confident and not that skilled? :3 This is mostly about CS:GO right now.
It depends. Are you prepared to spend 12+ hours daily in the same game? Will you travel globally while only playing a few CS games before leaving? Are you willing to face community hostility? Because you will encounter it, and it will affect you. The pay isn't very appealing.
Join the anime scene with confidence. For CS:GO, it really depends on your vibe—do you love launching projects and finishing them? Take a moment to think about your style.
Looking for Eagle in CS:GO? It's not strong enough for pro play. Try forming a team and practicing with scrims to explore possibilities.
Many have highlighted how challenging this will be, and it truly is if you’re serious about putting in the work and are ready for the effort involved. Keep in mind that most professionals only stay in the game for a short period. Edit: the biggest hurdle at the beginning is finding the right team. Most players claim they want to train and go pro, but they often become overly optimistic and quit after losing several games. If you’re determined, start practicing, join serious forums, and immerse yourself in the community. Work up to a level where you feel confident, then find a team and see how it goes. Stay honest with yourself throughout the process. If you hit a roadblock because you don’t feel capable, move forward. If your team is holding you back, be ready to leave them behind even after six months.
