Current specifications: CPU: Ryzen 3 1200, GPU: RX 580, RAM: 16GB, 3200MHz, Storage: ASUS B350 M. I rely on my PC mainly for gaming, especially lighter FPS titles like Rainbow 6 and CS GO. Since I’m not in the US, these prices apply locally. The differences between CPUs will likely be minor because the GPU upgrade (in 2-3 years) is expected to be the main limiting factor. Should I pick the Ryzen 5 3600 for extra performance or save it for a new GPU?

I’d hold off a little, since Intel just dropped new CPUs and AMD cut prices on some models, including the Ryzen 4000 series. But if you’re in the mood now, I’d pay a bit more for a 6-core setup when streaming—meaning the 3600 would be worth it.

The 3600 is ideal for future-proofing and isn't limited to gaming. Choosing a 3300X can help you save money if your main use isn't gaming.

The 3300x is likely to cost a lot when released in my region, and I’m not sure if upgrading to a new mobile GPU for the Ryzen 4000 lineup makes sense. I noticed that upcoming consoles will use an 8c/16t Zen 2 chip, which means a 3600 might be more future-proof than a 2700 since it has a 6c/12t configuration.
