You're using a Ryzen 7 2700X with 32GB RAM and an RTX 2060 on a ROG B450F. The performance issues you're experiencing—frame drops and low FPS in Fortnite—suggest the GPU might be the bottleneck. The Ryzen 5 5600 is available for around $80, which could be a solid upgrade if it significantly improves your gaming experience. Consider whether the new GPU will address your frame rate problems before deciding.

The 2060 won't bring a huge jump in FPS because it's not very fast. However, the 5600 performs much better in games and should raise averages for CPU-heavy titles (does the CPU usage percentage match what you're observing?). You might want to check out this video:

I need to perform some tests and verify things. I’ll see what I can get back. There’s a chance I might purchase it—no serious damage involved, and the price is quite attractive. Thanks!

I'll keep pushing the 5600 across the 2700x all day, every day. A single performance boost makes it worthwhile. This model is my standard gaming CPU—no newer options.
