I understand this subject might already be discussed, but many people ask it when they're using Windows 10 and unsure about upgrading to Windows 11. Since you're getting a new PC, installing Windows 10 would be risky—upgrading later could be complicated and time-consuming. Fresh installations are usually better. I know past versions suggest avoiding upgrades from one major release to another, so a clean install might be safer. If you choose Windows 11, bugs may appear initially but should be resolved in future updates. Either way, upgrading is generally not advised unless necessary. Thanks.

I would recommend using Windows 10 now then using a fresh install of 11 with the same product key in a few months, 11 isn't quite stable especially for gaming yet

This update sounds rough after a short period. Should I go ahead with the installation now, hoping future updates will improve it, or should I hold off until it's more stable?

I have a desktop running Windows 10 and a laptop with Windows 11. Clearly, gaming performance varies between them, even though the ROG Flow x13 is a very thin and light laptop. Still, it doesn’t match the power of a dedicated desktop. However, when it comes to games, it works as I expect. I haven’t faced any stability problems or crashes, and nothing unusual about the software. I’m eager to try new operating systems early on. Personally, I haven’t encountered any bugs yet, and Windows 11 seems like a refreshed version of Windows 10. I’m studying programming at the bachelor’s level, so I often use some non-standard, outdated programs that claim compatibility with older versions but have always run fine on Windows 11. I’m not an expert, but I don’t see much reason to switch unless you’re just curious about a new OS. If you’re concerned about stability, sticking with 10 makes sense. But I wouldn’t rush into the newest version unless you really want it.

Windows 10 works well unless you're concerned about Auto HDR.
