My current firestrike score is available online. I believe I can add another 1,000 points. I noticed a similar score with higher points and a CPU turbo of 4.0. My motherboard allows overclocking and has an "OC genie" feature I'm hesitant about but open to trying. Should I consider overclocking my CPU with a Hyper 212 EVO and my 970 Windstream 3x?
If you're only doing it for those scores, I don't think it's worth it—it's just for show. I'm not very familiar with overclocking, but keep it that way to keep your PSU happy. You'll also need more cooling, and as long as it's working for your gaming or whatever you do, just stick with it unless you really need to change it.

If you're only increasing performance for those numbers, I don't think it's worth it—it's just bragging. I'm not very familiar with overclocking, but keep it that way to keep your PSU happy. Yeah, I said that up there ^^ if you need something that demands higher CPU speeds then it's worth it
After all, that's why you chose a CPU that can be overclocked ;]
