Occasionally while gaming it seems to run slow. Sometimes I get frustrated during sessions with high-quality 4K YouTube videos. Before this, I was fine with the issue. Does antivirus bit defender cause my system to lag? Always running: Dota Firefox 10 Tab Edge 10 Tab or more Discord (voice and music). Occasionally playing NoX emulator for farming marvel future fight XD Under my PC specs: Ryzen 5 3600, 4.15GHz, 1.15Volt, 16GB RAM, 3600MHz SSD, 500GB drive, RTX 3080 Ti.

The 16 GB storage is insufficient in 2022. It's not enough anymore, but it gets the job done.

It shows your CPU isn't working as hard anymore. Your memory is only using half its capacity. RAM usage changes a lot depending on the person. Some people can handle 16GB easily, while others struggle. Also, certain games don’t optimize well and waste whatever space they have.

Bitdefender isn't a great antivirus and uses a lot of system resources. Consider removing it and using Malwarebytes instead. Keep many programs closed when not in use—16GB should suffice for typical usage, though 32GB is better if you're running heavy tasks like gaming. Your CPU is likely the bottleneck. Try learning to manage multitasking or closing unused apps; that should help. A thorough cleanup and some Windows tweaks can also make a difference. If your CPU is struggling, replacement might be necessary, but it probably reflects how you're setting up your PC.

Consider upgrading the CPU based on your needs, and check if 16GB of RAM is sufficient for your situation. Keep an eye on RAM usage while gaming or other tasks.

I was confused because memory came last in the list! My system crashes completely after opening several tabs and using Lightroom. The issue starts with the CPU.

Idk is there any background program too much but when saw 6core 12 thread i know it can be multitasked if not mistaken. While playing game on msi tuner some game almost using 80% -100% on RAM, but some game also using on CPU. This happen when i turn on Ultra grphic or ray tracing on some game. Not sure whether is upgrade CPU or RAM first ..

I attempt to remove that Bit Defender and check if it fixes the problem, having to keep tabs on everything. I often leave many tabs due to work, YouTube music, anime streams, etc. If I want to upgrade RAM, I might have to sell this setup since I'm using an old Corsair Vengeance RGB. I discovered the Corsair forum suggests looking for a compatible kit or else there could be issues.

The 6-core 12-thread setup might be insufficient since newer games could cause the Ryzen 5 3600 to become a bottleneck when paired with the RTX 3080 Ti. This concern comes from users with similar configurations or setups.
