Hi everyone. Recently my motherboard stopped working and I was thinking about whether to buy a new one or replace everything. My worry is that if I get a fresh board for my existing system, I might not be able to upgrade later. If I switch to a new build, I’m considering a Ryzen 7 7700X or should I go with a 5800X paired with an X570 board? For a new setup, I’d reuse the GPU and case. * I’m based in Singapore My current system: Asrock x470 Taichi Ultimate CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x Cooler: Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi RGB tower heatsink GPU: EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 10GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Black 3200MHz 16GB PSU: Corsair RM750 Gold Full Modular Case: Cooler Master H500M

Begin with a fresh board while keeping the existing CPU in place. Look for an excellent offer on a 5700x or 5800x3D.

The comparison hinges on your priorities—price and branding. The X570 Taichi offers a more affordable option, while the Asrock B550 Taichi provides a Razer-branded build but at a higher cost. Choose based on what matters most to you.
