I'm starting fresh with a nearly six-year-old system and just want to know what others use on their machines. I’m not planning to speed up the clock, and my setup is based on AMD. The only missing component right now is a graphics card—planning to buy a Sapphire Fury soon, maybe next month or September. For now, I’m using my XFX 6950. I’m still getting comfortable with advanced software but can handle hardware tasks easily. I’ve been relying heavily on Advanced System Care for defragmenting the HDD (I don’t do SSDs). It’s decent but not outstanding. Here’s a link to your build if you need it: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BxqLgs Thanks!
CCleaner from Piriform helps remove unnecessary files and may reduce registry issues. If you don’t have a specific temperature tracking tool, Speccy (also by Piriform) offers useful insights into your system. Avast works well as an antivirus; I rely on it, but other reputable brands also perform well. You might want to explore new browsers if you’re curious about alternatives after using one for a few years. Available options include Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, Vivaldi, and many others.
I mostly rely on Chrome, but when it behaves oddly I change to Firefox. I'm excited to test these alternatives!
