I recently purchased an RX 5700 XT and an i5 9500. The games I play, like RDR2 and CS:GO, often face bottlenecks where the GPU stays under 65% while the CPU runs at full capacity. This isn’t ideal. I’m considering upgrading to an i5 12400F or a Ryzen 5600G because it’s more affordable locally. Other choices include i5 11th and 10th gen chips, which aren’t significantly cheaper than the 12th gen. The Ryzen 5 is only about $25 less than the 12400F, so it’s a reasonable option. Smart access memory is worth thinking about if the performance difference isn’t noticeable. I also have two 8GB RAM sticks at 2666MHz, which isn’t the fastest but might not hurt much. Let me know if you have any advice!
