Hey there! I'm just starting out with routers and modems and am thinking about swapping out my Xfinity combo. They told me I could buy my own and save money on my bill each month. My current setup has a 300 down/50 up speed rating, and I’m the only one using the internet at home. I’m checking out recommendations for a good package and want to know what you think. Looking at all the options, I’d like to see what’s available and why it stands out. I stream Twitch, Netflix, and Hulu, and my gaming PC is about four feet away from the living room. The rest of my devices are in one room, so I don’t need open access. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help order something today or tomorrow. Thanks for the info!

For a distinct modem/router setup, consider the Arris SB6183 here: https://smile.amazon.com/ARRIS-Surfboard...B01ITIXYR0. If you anticipate moving to their gigabit service later, opt for a DOCSIS 3.1 modem such as this: https://smile.amazon.com/Next-Generation...B07DY16W2Z. For the router, choose based on your wireless needs and budget—options include the Asus RT-Ac66u here or the Dual-Band AIMesh Router AC1900.
