I was weighing two upgrade paths. One involves selling my 12600kf for a 14600kf, or switching the B660i to a Z board. Since I can't easily change hardware or ATX/Matrix, the decision hinges on availability and cost. DDR5 boards are priced high (around 150€), making them less appealing. I could stick with the current setup or invest elsewhere, but I rely on Amazon for gift cards.

You might need a CPU upgrade to boost performance and handle more tasks smoothly. The GPU you currently have plays a key role in rendering graphics and processing workloads. A motherboard upgrade ensures better connectivity and stability for your components. Together, these upgrades will enhance your overall system capabilities.

GPU model is 4060, equipped with two 8GB RAM sticks using CJR-XNC chips. It makes sense to consider a 4060TI as an upgrade option. Just need to trade in my current 4060.

In my view, you're likely limited by your GPU unless you rely on other productivity tasks. The 12600KF is a solid CPU for most scenarios. Instead of a 4060/Ti, would you consider an AMD GPU? A 7700xt offers better performance and more VRAM at a similar price to the 4060Ti.

I experiment with CUDA, Linux on Rocket has a good feel but I'm still getting comfortable.

I'm not familiar with any Linux applications, haven't explored it myself, so I'm uncertain about its value. With this new understanding of your Linux experience, keep in mind these points.
