You lack an unlocked processor, so you might simply obtain another identical 3000MHz module to boost performance. However, for Intel systems this would likely offer no significant gain or benefit.

It might appear in certain titles, probably GTA V will show a jump between 15 to 30 frames per second (depending on the game area) when using around 2666Mhz to 3000Mhz RAM. For most games, the change is barely noticeable. I tested it with an i5 8400 on an H310 card with 2x8Gb DDR4 memory, and it ran smoothly alongside my Radeon VII. Unless you're heavily using GTA V or Fallout and consistently hit low FPS, upgrading isn't necessary.

It varies based on price. I wouldn’t replace a new board, but if you buy a used one for around $60 and sell yours for $30, then yes, it makes sense. Otherwise, the performance gain likely isn’t worth it. If you need better speed, check if you can install the XT BIOS on your card. You can’t run 3000mhz RAM with those boards. Intel also gains from faster RAM, and this has been true for a while now. It’s not the same as DDR3 days.
