No, a fresh installation doesn't automatically delete files from your other hard drive. It only affects the data on the new system you're installing.

Yes, I understand. With Windows updates you can choose which partition to use, provided you don’t install it on any other hard drive besides the one you select, and you won’t lose your files from any other HDD.
