No choice available for the 2920. Good deals on both items, especially since the 2970X was eaten for $1300.

There’s not much available for 2920, and its cost is near 2950 at Microcenter (450-500). It might be better to choose 2950. The 2970 looks really attractive for that price, even though it could be a bit excessive for my needs.

Because the 2970X has a slower boost clock, it doesn't seem like a good deal in reality.

I used around 28 to 30 lanes before reducing my NVME reliance after switching to AM4. I’m hoping one day I’ll revisit it, but for now I’m using an 8X GPU in a PCIe slot with a 4xNVME card. I wish AM4 had more options but it’s manageable. A 32 lane setup would have been ideal, especially in AM5. Also, a 10Gb NIC works well in the chipset slot if you get the right model—though even a 2.0x4 card is fine with the right MB.
