I’m considering replacing my motherboard for several reasons. First, it would improve overclocking capabilities for RAM and CPU—I’m not getting much performance boost from the current setup. Second, it could enhance overall system speed, possibly with newer PCIe standards. Third, adding A-RGB headers would let me use RGB lighting, which suits my gaming style, especially in Warzone where CPU performance matters a lot. Upgrading the motherboard is about 80 USD, while RAM upgrades cost around 30 USD.

What's the speed boost you're looking for? If the price exceeds $15–20, it might not be worth it. Also, swapping the board doesn't help much.

I heared that Gen4 is just fancy word and GPUs don't utalise the full speed, though it doesn't mean it won't make things smoother. Picture it like this, imagine data from MB to GPU through PCIe as cars and gen 3 as a huge highway, gen 4 is 2x bigger highway so even if it doesnt increase speed. In conclusion, there's enough space for all the cars on highway, but the bigger highway is still easier to ride through. TongueP this info might be old tho, also I'm not against your upgrade, it's a nice upgrade

However, it functions well with PCIe SSDs when they meet the required speed.

You need to manage the color settings for red, green, and blue channels properly.

The motherboard runs on 12V with an ARGB 5V setting—should be safe as long as everything matches the specs.
