Hey, I’m feeling a bit torn right now. I’m thinking about upgrading my PC—currently I have an Intel 1660 Ti with a Ryzen 5 2600X. My Aorus B450 Pro supports BIOS updates that let me use 4000 and 5000 series chips. Could I get a 3060 Ti and pair it with a Ryzen 5 5600X on this board?

Check the price of the 5600 and compare it to the 5600X.

It doesn't make sense to buy a completely new CPU. You'll pay a lot just for small gains in frames per second. That means you should focus on upgrading your GPU instead. The 3060 Ti is a poor choice right now. Consider spending the money on a new GPU such as a 6800XT or 6750XT, and maybe a 1440p/4K screen.

The 5600/X would represent a significant jump beyond one extra digit. Regarding the GPU, costs vary widely across regions, meaning you shouldn't automatically think it offers good value.

Right now Amazon is offering the 5600x at $174, while the 5600 is listed at $179. I was planning to buy the 3600x but noticed the 5600x was on sale, which felt like a better offer.

Consider the specific issues in your setup rather than assuming a general boost. That chip should work with minor BIOS changes.
