For driver updates, I follow the "don't fix what ain't broken" approach and only upgrade when issues arise. Recently, while browsing Gigabyte's support page, I noticed new drivers for various devices were all released this month. Each driver note mentioned compatibility with Win10 ver.1709 and ver.1803. This made me consider updating all my drivers to ensure better performance and features. I've already updated Windows to version 1803 in April.

Avoid directing users to the manufacturer’s site for drivers—they’re usually old. Only update graphics manually; otherwise, Windows 10 will handle the rest automatically when required.

Only make changes if necessary. Check the release notes for updates, especially regarding security fixes. Avoid unnecessary effort if the update doesn’t include relevant improvements.

Thanks for the tips. I refreshed the sound driver before sharing this, and I wanted to check first. I'm happy it worked without issues, so I shouldn't have updated everything just in case. No time wasted on potential problems. Appreciate the help!
