I currently own a Ryzen 7 2700 with 4GHz on all eight cores and 16GB RAM, paired with a B450 Tomahawk motherboard. I’m not satisfied with this setup, so I’m thinking about moving to an X570 board if I ever decide to upgrade—potentially to something like a 3800X or 3900X. I’m weighing the GIGABYTE X570 AORUS ELITE against the ASUS AM4 TUF GAMING X570-Plus. The reason I picked these two is because I’m on disability and don’t have much money for upgrades. When choosing a board, I assume I’ll plan to overclock all cores to their maximum speeds. Here are the links to both boards: one for the GIGABYTE and one for the ASUS. Which do you think would be better?

Hey! Both boards look solid, but I’d pick the TUF board for its better VRMs and top-tier features at that price. Go with ASUS, by all means! Enjoy building!

My B450 tomahawk is running on the light BIOS since it isn’t the top board. I bought it back in August 2019 because it was the only option I could afford, and I’m not satisfied with it. My main worries are whether the CPU will overclock well and if it can handle the 3900X when I get another one later.

The TUF can boost a 3900X without issues and maintain VRM temps. Buildzoid also praised it in his AM4 roundup, saying other boards are outdated compared to this model. Cheers!
