As discussed in the title, should we switch from Evernote to Ulysses? I’ve relied on Evernote for years—it functions well, but they’ve recently made many UI changes. There’s a monthly upload limit for free users like me. I’ve heard positive feedback about Ulysses; it does have a learning curve, but it’s elegant and performs excellently on both macOS and iOS. It seems like a good fit for me since I mainly use it to collect online articles from various sites and blogs, such as Medium. Have anyone tried both and shared their experiences or opinions? Please feel free to share your thoughts so we can all compare. Thanks!
I've never really relied on such apps. I mostly use Safari Reader Mode, Notes, and iCloud. Not as polished, but it functions. These tools might be much more capable than I'm considering.
When you’re just jotting down notes, consider the value of Ulysses.
yeah... i see your point. Edit: I just copied an article from medium and when I paste it into ulysses, all the images in the article becomes <img src=""> I think this is too advanced for me... I just need to copy the articles and read them later...
I believe Ulysses suits writers better than note-taking tools. I don’t enjoy the current direction of Evernote and could consider switching to Onenote.
Onenote works well, but I’m still getting used to it. I believe its benefit lies in Microsoft’s deep expertise and experience with office tools. They’ve combined many powerful features from their suite into a single note. For now, I’ll keep using Evernote.
