I’m considering switching from my i5-6500 to a newer chipset. I’m eyeing an AMD 3600X and a Mai Gaming Plus ATX board for improved performance with video editing and streaming. Would this setup be a better fit than the B150A board and the 15-6500? Your current rig runs Windows 10 to 64, has a B150A MSI motherboard, FireCuda 1TB, SSHD, i5-6500, Radeon 590 Fat Boy 32GB (8GB kit), 2400MHz X4, plus an Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro and Evga Bronze 600 with a 80+ rating and a 120mm fan. You’re also planning to add more fans for better cooling.

You're aiming for around $400, planning to buy something new and considering MSI Gaming Plus Max as an option. I've been using MSI products for a while now.

I have a budget of about 400 for any additional power supply, as well as the motherboard and CPU.

I'm also checking the streaming section, which makes me think AMD could be the best option.

I understand the same as well, and I see the need for a bit more detail about the performance requirements.
