Hello everyone, this is Manuel from Argentina. I've been participating in the forum for a long time, but this is my first post.
I purchased my low-budget gamer PC in 2013 and recently did some research. I found out that the setup they arranged for me wasn't optimal for the price.
The main issue is the CPU I chose – an APU, specifically the AMD A8 5600k. This is the entire configuration I have:
A8 5600k 3.5ghz
Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H
2x4GB G.Skill Sniper F3-14900 CL-9 1866mhz
XFX Radeon 6670 1gb DDR3, paired with the APU's Radeon 7560D (dual graphics on)
Power supply: 600W (the one included with the case – I don’t know if that’s the best option)
HDD 500gb 7200rpm

Currently, I play games like CS:GO at 60fps (which drops to 30 at mid-low), Rocket League at 60fps in low settings, H1Z1 at 23 fps ultra low, and F1 2015 at 25 fps with low settings.
My plan is to upgrade the motherboard, CPU, and VGA (both Intel and Nvidia) within about two years.
My question is: what’s the best way to improve gaming performance right now?
A: Overclock the CPU and RAM to their maximum limits, using the PSU’s capacity and a good cooling system
B: Buy the best VGA for my CPU – I’ve read that the GTX 750 Ti or GTX 950 would be ideal
C: Do nothing and save money until I can afford the kit upgrade (since I can keep other parts)
In short, I want to know if overclocking is worth the effort or if those VGA options will become outdated in a few years.
Thank you.

A: Yes, it will/should help.
B: Best way to improve gaming performance is to upgrade your GPU. Buy the best you can.
C: If you can live with what you have, I think the best will be for you to wait for the next gen of GPUs that should be released in a few months.

Yes, it will/should help.
The optimal method to boost gaming performance is to upgrade your GPU. Purchase the highest quality one available.
If you can tolerate the current setup, it makes sense to wait for the upcoming GPU generation from Intel (i3, i5, i7) and AMD that should arrive in a few months.
You're referring to the 7th generation of Intel's i3, i5, i7 and new AMD CPUs?

Not the next generation of CPUs, but GPUs.
