I built my first project and felt really accomplished when everything worked perfectly. But later I realized a small bend in one of the USB 3.0 ports on the front wasn’t functioning properly. After checking more closely, I discovered the blue cable connection pin was twisted back onto the board. Should I try straightening it? Is the chance of fixing it worth the effort?

It's just a USB port, and there aren't many issues if you mess with the pin orientation. Since it's already not functioning, you won't lose anything if you can't get it working again.

It was always possible to purchase an additional USB card as well.

Take the chance. If anything shifts, it won’t matter.

Sure, proceed carefully. Take your time and avoid using any tools that might damage the pin.

They don't require any adjustments. If needed, just use a screwdriver to straighten the pin.

They were bent excessively for me to adjust them again. I attempted to bend them gradually, but they broke. Going forward, if I require additional USB ports, I’ll opt for a PCI-E expansion card or switch to a USB adapter that fits my USB-C connection. At least I gave it a try and appreciated the encouragement from everyone. Becoming a better PC builder is really enjoyable.
