These aren't unnecessary add-ons but the essential programs that enable the touchpad functionality. (At least the Asus versions)

Features of the touchpad will be reduced by half, removing multitouch and gesture recognition. It should still function, albeit with only basic capabilities. At least Lenovo handles this well.
