I have been playing Modern Warfare on PC extensively. Despite enjoying it, I harbor some self-criticism, considering it a guilty pleasure. Formerly, I was dismissive of games similar to this one. Seeking a more realistic experience—one without bunny hops or excessive highlight-reel kills—I investigated Squad, Arma 3, and Hell Let Loose. However, I continued to encounter elements frustrating me in Modern Warfare and Battlefield. Rainbow Six Siege has some appealing aspects, particularly the character system and diverse map/game mode selection; however, I find it lacking in several areas. Are there any recent games resembling classic Rainbow Six that you could recommend? Specifically, have you encountered anything like Rogue Spear? My searches online haven't yielded much.
Ghost Recon Wild Lands is a worthwhile experience, even if it requires some initial effort. While there’s a learning curve and a need for grinding to level up, it offers considerable enjoyment once mastered. It’s a third-person shooter with controls reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto V, though the absence of a jump mechanic is compensated for by climbing. Initially, I anticipated this change would be detrimental, but it proved to be a minor issue given the overall gameplay and comes from a background of veteran first-person shooter experience, specifically from titles like Team Fortress Classic and Counter-Strike.
