QoS won't fix your concern. The root cause is ADSL performance under stress. I frequently encountered this at work, with tickets escalating repeatedly. When bandwidth is heavy, ADSL struggles, causing signal overlap and interference. Crosstalk and random disruptions are common with DSL, leading to packet re-transmissions and dropped connections. Your latency stems from this built-in delay and lack of shielding. Contact your ISP to request a switch to an interleaved-to-fast connection. You'll still see occasional packet loss, but the spikes will disappear. I've resolved hundreds of these issues personally.
