Consider purchasing Dead Rising 3.
It seems the game runs slowly even with basic visuals, and you're weighing the purchase against your current hardware. Your mid-range system might handle it, but consider the trade-offs. Check the specs on your profile to see if they match your capabilities.
I was the only one who understood it for Xbox, but he sold it shortly after. He found it dull, just another cycle of repetitive "get this" tasks.
It's quite a mixed experience, not really enjoyable to play but entertaining to watch. You might want to explore SpeirsTheAmazingHD's YouTube channel for videos and see if it suits your taste. You should be able to handle it well.
Obligatory TotalBiscuit post; PC analysis; Gameplay overview; TotalBiscuit has experienced both versions of Dead Rising recently, allowing him to share his thoughts individually and in comparison to the original releases. On my mid-range system (7870 and 3770), the game performed well, though Watch_Dogs excelled. As noted before, results can vary. Wishing you good luck with your choice!
I plan to purchase it at a low price; I really enjoyed DR2. Playing around is a lot of fun. Off topic: Have anyone heard about DR2 transitioning to Steam? Every retail version should be purchasable similarly to Arkham Assylum and City.
I didn’t enjoy it much, yet I also didn’t like DR2. Perhaps this isn’t the right game for me.
The current performance on my PC isn't acceptable. I'm using a laptop with an Radeon HD 8750M, and it runs poorly, just like another user mentioned. Also, check out TotalBiscuit's videos—they offer plenty of insights and gameplay, matching my perspective on the game.
