You're looking for an Intel i3-10100F compatible board that fits your gaming needs while staying within budget. Your requirements include 3200MHz RAM, under $130, and support for games like Overwatch, Rocket League, and soon Valorant. It's a good balance between performance and cost.

You could use frequencies up to 3600 MHz, though I'm uncertain. With a Z490 board and an Intel Core i3, it's unclear if XMP support applies. Still, Intel doesn't benefit much from faster RAM compared to Ryzen. A B460 board with two 2666 MHz modules would work just fine. In my opinion, pairing a Z40 with a Core i3 offers limited advantage. Upgrading the CPU to a K-series would help align better with your motherboard and support future overclocking.

I looked into motherboards suitable for my needs. I’m leaning toward the i3-10100f because of the games I want to play, and the benchmarks look solid. If required, I can switch to a Ryzen 3 3300X. Both options support 10th Gen Intel chips.

For an i3-10100F, a more affordable motherboard isn't necessary. You can opt for a budget H410 chipset—it'll handle the CPU just fine. Although you're restricted to 2666mhz RAM, it's not worth the price of a Z-board. Going that route would mean spending $30 on an i5-10400 instead, and even with 2666mhz RAM, it would perform better than the i3-10100 with a board and faster memory. I purchased this inexpensive $65 board for my i3-10100, and it works well. It runs at 4.1ghz across all cores nonstop.

Sure, that makes sense. Those chips seem to handle up to 2666 MHz well.
