You're trying to figure out whether a 9700X is enough for your needs. If you're mainly playing games that aren't too demanding on CPU, the 5700X should still work well for now. Just keep in mind that if you plan to play more demanding titles later, upgrading to a higher-end model might be better.

I have the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D AM4 processor running at 3.4 GHz with 8 cores and high performance. The power consumption is around 105W. Not sure if it’s a good investment.
