Searching for games with larger scale and better graphics. Looking for options that offer impressive visuals and a bigger world to explore.

Without wine, windows or a virtual machine will restrict your gaming options. Gaming is actually the main reason I chose to install Windows.

Warsow offers a free experience, and the nexuiz version is also accessible. Xonotic provides a free option as well. Open-source games like Half-Life, Valve, and Source tend to attract more players despite being free. There are several Counter-Strike clones using open-source engines that are enjoyable to play.

CS:GO appears visually impressive but performs slightly slower on Linux compared to Windows, with around a 20% performance decrease. The exact cause isn’t clear since I haven’t fully set up my Linux system recently.

It really appears great in 4K resolution. I occasionally watch it at full 4K quality, and it looks quite acceptable.

That was my first attempt using my new 4K display, but with the GTX 960 it didn’t perform well—around 60-70 frames per second and the worst screen tearing I’ve ever experienced. I’m going to go back to the familiar 1080p.

When using anti-aliasing, those outcomes are actually quite good.

I've gathered quite a few of your ideas. Gaming is the sole platform I use for Windows. Most of my titles run smoothly on Linux, though a handful really capture my interest and keep me using Windows. I'd love to see more developers beyond Valve and indie studios creating games for this system. Are there any similar to H1Z1 KOTK or Battlegrounds available for Linux? Regarding MMORPGs, I know Runescape supports Linux, but what about World of Warcraft? Or perhaps a newer title in that category? Games with multiplayer features I already own and that function on Linux include Minecraft, Rocket League, Insurgency, Verdun, TF2, CSGO (though I don't really use it), War Thunder, Runescape, Shovel Knight, and Don't Starve Together. I've heard Stardew Valley might soon add multiplayer support. So far, I have a few choices in my Steam Wishlist that work on Linux, such as The Talos Principle and Day of Infamy.
