Yes, an i7 7700 should fit the board but you'll have to upgrade the BIOS.

It doesn't make sense anywhere a used i7 7700 costs nearly the same as a newer R5 3600 with a B450 upgrade. Plus, the H110 chipset board is really poor and might limit performance.
