You're considering setting up a separate Windows installation on your 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD. It's a good idea to test it out, but make sure you have a backup of your current setup. Using the same Windows key for both drives could cause conflicts, so it's best to switch keys afterward if you decide to proceed.

Instead of a regular work account, we could create a dedicated user profile.

It would be better to fully disconnect everything, as background processes from my work apps aren't affecting my game performance. Edit: it also doesn't work.

It appears the simplest option is likely the best choice. Logging out of the other account should stop any active processes. Do you think creating a new account isn’t feasible?

I understand the issue, though. My setup is optimized for gaming, which means background tasks and unnecessary apps are turned off. One of those might have been handling user accounts. Unity isn’t working well with this version either—it’s not a game engine but a development tool, so I’m forced to use it regardless. That’s why I need to separate them: one for peak performance and another for stable reliability.

It's most probable that your other Windows versions will turn off after attempting to activate them.

You might already possess another Windows key somewhere.

It seems the second login should disable the initial setup... I believe you can switch between them.
