I recommend using a GPU. Your CPU can still assist in boosting FPS in Rust. For CSGO, 200 FPS is sufficient.

if you could get a 3060 or 3070 that would be great. on my case, i bought 2070 super, then later upgraded my CPU to R5 5600x. The difference is night and day.

This system is likely constrained by the CPU unless you increase the difficulty. Achieving high frames per second in Rust is unlikely given how well the game is optimized. You can determine CPU or GPU limits by installing MSI Afterburner and observing GPU usage and PER CORE CPU utilization. If any core reaches 100%, it indicates a CPU bottleneck.
