The challenge with using a 2K monitor at 144 refresh rate is needing a video card that can handle it. This is the 2K 60 refresh rate IPS monitor I use with a GTX 980, and it works perfectly—great picture quality and colors.

Have you ever tried a monitor or computer with a higher refresh rate? I haven’t, but I was wondering if it’s considered a better upgrade than a 2K display?
Another point is that I’m planning to upgrade my GPU, possibly moving to a 980ti in the future. Should I save up for a 4K with G-SYNC? I’d really like to upgrade my monitor soon.
You might consider a future 980ti upgrade since the new graphics cards are arriving soon.
G-sync is disappearing quickly.
