Hi! I’m thinking about purchasing a new PC and facing a choice between two options. The first is a 7600X with RX6900, and the second is an i5-13600KF paired with a 4070. The price gap is only $100. I plan to play esports games at 1080p with 144Hz and also enjoy casual AAA titles at higher settings. Do you think there’s a more optimal CPU/GPU setup for this use case? My budget fits the listed combos, and I’m not a US citizen so I can’t check all available parts there. The monitor resolution is 1080p at 144Hz, and I don’t want to overclock it. Why do I need an upgrade now? With my current setup (2700x + Vega 56), I’m not consistently hitting 144 FPS on the games I care about.

I should exercise caution when using userbenchmark to compare AMD with Intel or Nvidia, as it tends to favor them. Just reading the descriptions on AMD products might give the impression that AMD had a negative impact.

Yes, I understand that. Still, the Intel chip remains superior to the AMD one. CPU-monkey comparison link: https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cp...en_5_7600x NanoReview comparison link: https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/in...en-5-7600x The same applies to the GPU as well; the RTX 4070 outperforms the RX 6900XT. RTX 4070 review: Therefore, what I mentioned earlier is accurate: Intel builds are better.

The 4070 performs better than the 6900XT, though it comes at a higher price. Yet, only workstation tasks were shown to highlight the 13600kf as the superior CPU choice, especially since both models are nearly equal in gaming performance—benchmarks indicate the 7600x excels more in e-sport titles, which aligns with what this project aims for.

No, 7600x is quicker.

Instead of discussing with me, challenge the reviewer directly. Also, is it truly necessary to debate this?

In a blind comparison of these two systems, it's unlikely you'd perceive any variation in performance without conducting tests.

You can look for the benchmarks or reviews of the 12600KF + 4060 TI combo on relevant forums or review sites. It might be worth checking if you're aiming for 1080p with high settings, as the 13600KF + 4070 could indeed be more demanding.
