Wait for the 5060/5060ti to appear in a few months and you can reuse the existing drives and case. You might also consider using the cooler again if desired...

I’m not entirely sure the problems with 13th and 14th generation models are fully fixed. AM5 seems more appropriate here. This is just the beginning—just need your storage and case. Requires a GPU.

The situation is that the LGA1700 model is presently much more affordable than a similar AM5/4 setup, or even offers better performance for the same price. The main problems with the 13/14 Intel CPUs have been resolved and warranties now cover up to five years. If your budget was approximately 1400, things would look quite different, such as:

What about the new
Intel Socket
1851? Should I wait for that one? May be they can offer compable performance but cheaper than AMD5? Also its brandnew platform
It is also a platform with limited gaming capabilities, performing worse than the AMD 9000 series and Intel 13/14 series processors, except for a few exceptions. The Socket 1851 supports only this CPU generation at least according to my knowledge. Intel might refresh it later, but it shouldn’t significantly boost performance compared to today’s CPUs. The new 1851 socket CPUs appear to have optimization problems in Windows and often require game-specific tweaks, resulting in unremarkable gaming results.
It's disappointing. You're now faced with a choice between 13/14th generation for solid value or an AM4 platform that offers upgradability but comes at a higher cost.
